The Personal Development Project was assigned by my Introduction to Honors class in order to encourage students to involve themselves in activities that are outside of their comfort zone and have special meaning. In doing this project, I have grown not only as an honors student but I have also learned a lot about myself and the kind of person I hope to become through my experiences at Central Michigan University.
There are five categories that are filled with eight different chosen activities. The five categories include Embracing Intellectual Growth: The Academic and Creative Life of the University, Exploring Diverse Ideas and People in a Global Society, Exploring Paths for Academic and Personal Achievement, Becoming an Active Citizen/Serving the Greater Good, and Participating in the Honors Community.
